Kunshan blow molding process adopts a variety of technologies and materials, mainly including the following:
Polyethylene (PE) Polyethylene is the most productive variety in the plastics industry. Polyethylene is an opaque or translucent, light-weight crystalline plastic with excellent low temperature resistance (minimum operating temperature can reach -70 ~ -100℃), good electrical insulation and chemical stability, and can withstand most acids and alkalis corrosion, but not heat resistant. Polyethylene is suitable for processing by injection molding, blow molding, extrusion molding and other methods. PE can be divided into: low density polyethylene LDPE; high density polyethylene HDPE; linear low density polyethylene LLDPE.
Polypropylene (PP) Polypropylene is a thermoplastic obtained by the polymerization of propylene. It is usually colorless, translucent solid, odorless and non-toxic, with a density of 0.90 ~ 0.919 g/cm. It is the lightest general-purpose plastic with outstanding advantages. It has the characteristics of resistance to cooking in water, corrosion resistance, strength, rigidity and transparency are better than polyethylene, the disadvantage is poor low temperature impact resistance, easy to age, but can be improved by modification and addition of additives. There are three production methods of polypropylene: slurry method, liquid bulk method and gas phase method.
Polyvinyl Chloride (PVC) Polyvinyl chloride is a plastic obtained by polymerizing vinyl chloride, and its hardness can be greatly changed by adding plasticizers. Its hard products and even soft products have a wide range of uses. The production methods of polyvinyl chloride include suspension polymerization, emulsion polymerization and bulk polymerization, with suspension polymerization as the main method.
Polystyrene (PS) General-purpose polystyrene is a polymer of styrene, which is transparent in appearance, but has the disadvantage of being brittle. Therefore, impact-resistant polystyrene (HTPS) can be made by adding polybutadiene. The main production methods of polystyrene are bulk polymerization, suspension polymerization and solution polymerization.
ABS ABS resin is the product of co-polymerization of three monomers of acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene, referred to as ABS terpolymer. Due to the different proportions of its components A (acrylonitrile), B (butadiene) and S (styrene) in the composition, as well as the difference in the manufacturing method, the properties of this plastic are also very different. ABS is suitable for injection molding and extrusion processing, so its use is mainly to produce these two types of products.
Injection blow molding is a molding method that combines the characteristics of injection molding and blow molding products.
①In the injection molding station, the parison is injected first, and the processing method is the same as that of ordinary injection molding.
②After the injection mold is opened, the mandrel and the parison move to the blow molding station.
③The mandrel puts the parison between the blow molds and closes the mold. Next, the compressed air is blown into the parison through the middle of the mandrel, inflated to make it close to the mold wall and cooled.
④Open the mold, the mandrel is transferred to the demoulding station, and after the blow-molded parts are taken out, the mandrel is transferred to the injection station for circulation.
